The shooting script, in pictures. Each beat is a locked still plus the scene it belongs to. Music plays on the beats; FlowMusic prompts and plates live on Prompt. Production keyframes — one still per camera change — live on the shooting board (shot 07 is open). Full text: script.

Attention: everything from the opening until [END RECORDING] is not the present. It is the hypnotic simulation Dex is already living, replaying Adam’s recorded memory. The short cuts at the instant Adam stops recording.

VR FLASHBACK LANDING — WEB
Preferred open: the viewer does not start on an invented black screen. They arrive on the Series 01 landing — black / cyan — and read the product as if it were a real site.
They scroll the page until $70,000. Later, in The Film, the short plays. The narrative begins there (shot 02…).

What the landing says
Definition. Device for direct mnemonic recording and playback.
Status: READY TO RECORD / PLAYBACK. Start: [START]. End: [END].
This beat’s still is the landing’s first viewport (live capture). Do not generate a fake HUD. Neural Bed 62 sits under the open — until the film starts.

EXT. STREET / INT. CAR — DAY
ADAM walks toward his dark luxury coupe on the private street of his stone-and-glass villa, the walnut-and-black VR Flashback presentation case under his arm. The capture earpiece is in his right ear — he is already recording.
He unlocks the car, gets in, and sets the case on the pale leather passenger seat. He turns on the radio. Music starts. He raises the volume. He looks at the box beside him.

Before he bought it. Adam is in the villa hall, looking at the Series 01 landing — the same page the film opened on, but he is in the shot. Ears empty. No case yet. On the page he watches the product film — case, Capture Earpiece hero, live Capture and Restore. Then the package arrives (03b).
“It arrived today… It’s a prototype. It combines VR, hypnosis and binaural sounds. It records the whole perception: what you see, hear, feel, think. I’ve been recording since I left home. If you want to try it, get comfortable, put on the headset and headphones. The app hypnotizes you and you live exactly what I lived, from my starting point until now.”
DEX
“Okay, that sounds insane. Let’s try it.”
Adam lets him choose the wake-up music. He selects the default track, adds it to the project, and says:
Adam brings his finger to the phone and touches [END RECORDING].
Visual / audio: the instant the finger hits the screen — hard cut. The image breaks with a fast glitch / dropped signal.
The simulation ends here, because Adam’s recording ends at this instant. The chosen wake-up music starts immediately.
FlowMusic · VR FLASHBACK Reset26s music from tear · through rhythm change · then 09+
Timing · note: Reset starts on the tear (~2.64s), from t=0 of the FlowMusic track, and holds 26s through the bass/rhythm change (silence before the tear is outside that clock; full file ≈ 28.1s). Includes ~5.65s already in join 08; the restore HUD (opens in a new tab) holds ~20.4s. Then Shot 09 · Reverse montage. Continuity: 08-to-09-restore-reset-25s.mp4.
Off-screen / not shown until now: after pressing STOP in the past, Adam had put the headset and headphones on Dex and started playback. Everything the audience has seen so far was Dex’s hypnotic stream.
RAPID REVERSE MONTAGE — DEX’S REAL MEMORY RESTORED
Over the wake-up music, micro-flashes of Dex’s real memory from just before hypnosis.
The whole track plays. Invented crew scroll — the excuse to stay and listen. Scroll velocity follows the music (Reaktion): quiet crawls, peaks rush, every beat punches. End card holds at 2:35.
